Besides the attractive stonework, you may notice the cross that so commonly tops Christian churches. The cross is how Jesus Christ paid the penalty due for our wrongdoing. Never having sinned himself, he suffered that excruciating death in our behalf so that we may be freely
forgiven.
The Son of God arose from his grave and now you can have life changing, intimate closeness with him by simply opening the door of your heart.
The king Jesus confronts and
disciplines people he loves. He directs us to get busy and stop doing wrong. He now invites us to enjoy personal, direct access to himself and promises an incredible reward for those who
meet this challenge. Here are Jesus’ own words…
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
Listen, I stand at the door and knock. If any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him. I will eat with him, and he will eat with me.
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
